Each year South Pass City and the Friends of South Pass hosts Run the Red: A Race for a Wild Wyoming Landscape. This unusual foot race weaves through some of the most spectacular features of the Northern Red Desert and starts in the historic gold mining town of South Pass City.
Admission for non-racers is free. Special activities are featured all day. Bring the family and enjoy a day in the desert and at SPC.
